I sincerely apologize for not having a resource code box, but I lost the link to the code to create one that I’d used in the past. Your blog is exactly the type of info I am looking for. I want to start the same thing in my area. As of this month, my district has been labelled as being one of the highest places for sexting in Eastern Canada. On a personal level, my grandson’s aunt (who just turned 16) has been sexting and a lot worse on facebook. She has posted my grandson’s photos alongside her own sexual images. I am outraged and made no bones about it. But it is becoming more than that to me now: I am determined to start this type of blog and info resource for my area. There are a few resources available here but I think speaking out and posting info like you are doing will make more of a difference. How did you get started? I am tapping into as many educators and supports as I can but this place is pretty uninformed right now. Anything you can advise or suggest would be very much appreciated. I am very happy to know you’ve found useful information here and that you are inspired to start your own work in this endeavor (though sad to learn of your experiences). About your grandson’s aunt: You CAN report her images to Facebook. It is anonymous and you can let them know she is a minor, as well. Kids as young as 13 are allowed on Facebook, but 16 (and you say she JUST turned 16, so some of these photos are probably of herself at 15) is a minor. She is engaging in child porn, believe it or not. Facebook will close her account if they do their job (and unfortunately, it’s a crapshoot if they do or not – sometimes they do, sometimes they don’t – but it’s worth a try).
I am on a bit of a hiatus right now from my blogging because of real life chaos, but I’d be more than happy to help you in any way I can. I have removed your e-mail from the comment so it is not visible to the public, but I have it saved. Well, first of all, many thanks for your reply. Secondly, my daughter-in-law has decided to never let me see my grandson again in defense of her sister (who is the one showing soft porn). What a mess! I take comfort from what you are saying and I am thinking seriously of reporting this aunt, Shayla, on facebook. I was so relieved to see your site. I am not the only one concerned about this soft porn and sexting! Thank you for your reply! It is Christmas time and so the New Year is probably the best time to start up again and get moving on this. I want to start my own web page…thanks again for all your info! I truly appreciate it!

Hi, Pat! I am so sorry for the trouble this girl is causing you. Have you tried talking to your son? He is your grandson’s father and has rights! I have developed a cold wall when it comes to people who endanger children, and no one in the world is immune — including family. If I was in your shoes, I would tell my daughter-in-law that if she wants to play hardball, I’ll involve the police with what her sister is doing. That’s not only internet crime (fraud in her Facebook use, including a child in her illegal online child porn activity) but a crime, in general. I am very curious about what your son has to say about all of this.
I hope your holidays were better than all this mess, and I hope the new year is much better!

Please remember that some of the information is not entirely true. For instance the “symbols” in use by pedophiles. While they be in use by some idiots – some of them have been around for many centuries. The swastika is another highly misunderstood symbol that predates Hitler by a few centuries.

Susanne, how long have you been in this field? Not a day! The posts I made featuring the symbols and codes comes directly from FBI in-house correspondence. Had you bothered to look around, you would know who I am and the years of experience I’ve had undercover with local law enforcement agencies and the FBI. Now, kindly shut the fuck up. Hi, Joanne!
I have volunteered with the FBI’s NCMEC for 7 years, starting in July of 2006. I am who I say I am but you don’t have to trust me. If you are concerned about what you found, file a report with NCMEC. You can call them, as well. I don’t know if you are in the USA. If you are not, you can find a federal agency website for your location. Federal agents can advise you where to send what you found. If you have something to be concerned about, they will take your device and track whomever put those images on it. Don’t upload those images to any site for any reason because you will be committing child pornography. The FBI can direct you on how to send them the images. You can, also, go into a local police station with your device. Ask to speak to someone in special crimes about possible child sexual abuse. If there is any more I can do to help, please let me know.
