Boycott and Report Lifetime Channel’s “Dance Moms”

I’m not quite sure how far reaching this show is to the world, but it is fairly well known here in the U.S. The name is “Dance Moms” and appears on the Lifetime channel — a network that has prided itself on “empowering women.” I guess kids just aren’t yet considered good enough to deserve such empowerment as Lifetime seems proud of girls 6-13 being forced to dress in Vegas-style costumes and dance like they belong in a strip club rather than a children’s dance school.

The show centers around dance studio owner, Abbey Lee Miller, and her sadly abusive methods of motivating the girls. She yells at them, calls them trash when they make mistakes, and altogether verbally and physically abuses them in ways that would have her arrested if she did so to a dog. Yet, Lifetime and her abuse-supporting fans don’t seem to have a problem with it. Neither do the mothers whose kids she abuses.

On the show, the moms act irate with her behaviour. At the end of the day, however, they are still permitting her to abuse their children and pay her to do so. I suppose the checks Lifetime is paying them for their kids to appear on their sponsored series helps to ease their tempers quite a bit, as well. Nothing like being paid off by your child’s abusers to make it all okay.

Is this how ANY parent would want their children treated or to be seen? Is this how ANY parent would want strangers viewing their children? For a better perspective of how that is, take a look at what pedophiles are saying:

jeff809 writes: Dance Moms , nominated Sexiest new show on GC! [Girl Chat – pedophile message board]

jeff809 writes: Can watch and record for later pleasure with noone knowing. Sweet little secrets. Wish all could be my lf! [“little friend” – pedophile slang for boyfriend/girlfriend]

Socrotes writes: omg!! ikr?! [I know right] i just want to slip my hand up that little maddies poofy skirt and welcome her to womenhood.!

jeff809 writes: I’m really releaved the ages stop at 13. Who wants to see bouncing knockers? so grossed out at tht point

Socrotes writes: no longer atractive when the pubes start. as soon as buds form its time to get another lf

lgluv4lyfe writes: What do you all think of the coach Abby Lee?

Socrotes writes: ANGEL!!!!!!!!!!!!! she brings out the sexy tigress in them!!! makes me sooooooOOOOoooo wetttt!!!!

jeff809 writes: Hero worship time!

lgluv4lyfe writes: Agreed. I’ve visited dance studios with the niece to scout. No other dance coach gets their girls to release their sexiness like her. She has a way of making them welcome their natural sexuality. I am a big fan of how she makes the moms go along with her. I could learn from her!

Socrotes writes: we need a Abby Lee fan page.

jeff809 writes: Second that!

Socrotes writes: might send AL a thank you note ;;;;)))

jeff809 writes: hehehehehe

jeff809 writes: ask for more sexy costumes

Socrotes writes: tru dat. not enough soft little tummies showing. need mooooooor!!

lgluv4lyfe writes: God in heaven I died when she had them slap their little behinds. Tivoed it and rewind.play.rewind.play.rewind until I cum!

Socrotes writes: yyeeeessssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!

jeff809 writes: YEEESS!!!

It gets far worse, much more explicit pertaining to sexual acts they wish for each of the girls and how they would get them away from the easily controllable moms if they were instructors there.

For an idea about the show, take a look at this ABC special report:

http://youtu.be/Bz-a0bVC25E (embedding has been disabled by ABC’s request)

There have been times when the girls were forced to choose between school and dance, a time when a girl was forced to choose dance over her sick grandmother in the hospital, and a time when both Abby and the mother forced a sick child to “man up” and dance through her illness.

These little girls have been brainwashed into thinking dressing like they are preparing to be Las Vegas show girls is okay. At six, eight, ten years old, their highest ambition is to dress like a prostitute and shake their ass for horny men. How does that make sense to anyone other than a pedophile?

Where is the self-esteem sports are supposed to encourage in children, and what normal dance studios encourage? Where is the dignity and self-love with which we are supposed to raise our children? Where is that motherly instinct to protect their children and guide them in self-worth and respectable accomplishments clearly lacking in any of these mothers?

I would also like to know where the hell the fathers are in this whole thing. They have rights, too, and can damned well press charges on the perverted coach and the abusive mothers. I suppose those checks issued by Lifetime are big enough to squelch the protectiveness of these fathers, too.

When did it become okay to sell our children for our own financial comfort?

Hall of Fame Dance Challenge owner/operator, Darryl Fink, had this to say on a popular Dance forum:

“Here are my thoughts on Lifetime’s new show, “Dance Moms.”

Reality Dance Moms show is Far from Reality

OP-ED
Darryl Fink
17 July 2011

Lifetime’s new show, Dance Moms, has hit a new all-time low for reality television, which is no easy task.

The show centers on a Pittsburgh dance studio and its 9 to 10-year-old competition team. It is a cynical portrayal of the world of dance competitions and the people involved in it. The coach/teacher is a tyrannical individual who lives by the motto of the sign that is posted in her studio, which reads: “Winning isn’t everything. It’s the only thing.” This is drummed into 9 and 10-year-old girls.

The dance moms themselves are aggressive and self-centered, caring little about their children’s teammates. And when it comes to their own child, the ladies main concern is to live vicariously through them. In one scene, despite her daughter being sick, one mother tells her to ignore her stomach ache and keep dancing. There are no likable human beings, save the children, in this so-called “reality” show.

The truth of it is, very little from “reality” exists in this show.

As the Owner and Director of Hall of Fame Dance Challenge for the last 10 years, and many years experience as a dance parent, I have been surrounded by dance moms who are caring, giving, and team players all the way. We have been blessed to meet beautiful people all over the country. In our experience, dance moms are no different than hockey moms or baseball dads in that they care about giving their children positive life experiences. They give their children a chance to experience healthy competition, sportsmanship, and probably most important, from a social standpoint, interacting with others their own age.

Further, dance provides opportunity for college, scholarships and, in some cases, a professional career.

Perhaps most important, this show births dangerous implications. It is dangerous not only for the competition industry, but also for the dance world as a whole. What is a young mother, with no exposure to the dance community, to think when she sees the depiction of crazed mothers and abusive teachers? And this false exposure of the dance community presumably has the full support of a major cable network. It’s harmful to the dance community.

I think the competitions and conventions that were filmed for this show were seduced by Lifetime and/or the show producers into believing they would be fair in their portrayal of dance life. Apparently, Lifetime took advantage of their final cut privileges, duping my colleagues. Suffice it to say that I find it unlikely my colleagues would agree to film a show about crazy dance parents at their event.

Occasionally you will get an over-zealous parent, but that is the exception not the rule. And as far as dance teachers are concerned, the portrayal of the studio owner herself is so far from the norm that Lifetime should be ashamed of itself. Shame on you.”

There are several sites on the internet and pages on Facebook aimed at shutting down this vile woman and her studio. There is even a petition:

http://www.thepetitionsite.com/5/help-remove-the-reality-series-dance-moms/

People are, also, starting to report Abbey Lee Miller, the moms, and the dance studio to the Pittsburgh Department of Human Services:

“Here is what you can do: Report the show, director and mothers for child abuse. This is clearly child abuse. Call the Department of Human Services at anytime day or night at 1-800-932-0313. This is the County in charge of the City of Pittsburg. The location is Abbey Lee Dance Company- Formerly Maryen Lorrain Dance Studio
7123 Saltsburg Road
Pittsburgh, PA 15235
412.795.6234″

I hope you all join me as I sign the petition, call that number, and share this information far and wide. If we don’t speak up for these little girls, no one will. Especially when their own parents are allowing them to be treated this way. If this was taking place in someone’s home, child protective services would have come in and removed the child already. Why is it okay when a network does it? Don’t let it be okay! Speak up!

Incidently, I firmly believe “Toddlers and Tiaras” is just as abusive, as all child pageants are abusive.

  1. Thank you so much for this post. I have been on radio shows talking about how this show is grooming these girls FOR pedophiles. I have said repeatedly that in this day and age, parents have enough information to know by now the risks posed to their children by predators and yet they keep being deliberately dense on the issue.

It is up to those of us who refuse to bury our heads in the sand to stand united against the pedophiles and human traffickers. Let’s hope that we can unite with more people who will stand with us and create a safer world for children.

I have used the forum quotes you provided in my social media to help startle people into reality.

Again, thank you for standing strong and not growing weary in this war!

  2. I could not find a way to contact you on this site. I am posting this here and hope you see it. Please let your followers know about this new action to normalize pedophilia. A conference just took place to have pedophilia removed from psychiatry journals labeling it as a mental illness. This now will make way for it to be decriminalized. Here are the links to the story. We must get the word out and stand together against this.

    • Hi, Marie! I sincerely apologize for not getting back to you after your last comment. I’ve been fighting a Summer cold.

Yes, I know about the disgusting push to normalize pedophilia. At first glance, they make it seem like taking away a pedophile’s right to use mental illness as a defense is a good thing. It shouldn’t be allowed as a defense and they should be held 100% accountable for their crimes against children. However, the true purpose is to groom society into accepting pedophilia as merely another form of sexual orientation. They even compare their child attraction to homosexuality, which has outraged the gay and lesbian community.

We must NEVER permit these obvious pedophiles in the psychiatric community to convince society to allow their twisted thinking to become main stream.

First and foremost, pedophilia is the desire to sexually dominate, rape, emotionally/mentally control, and physically abuse innocent children. Children have a RIGHT to SAY NO! Pedophiles have millions of ways of coercing a child to do what they wish, especially through fear. It is these pro-pedophilia psychiatrists pushing for this vile action who are showing their pedophilia community how to manipulate their victims and how to groom and manipulate society. We should not reward them by ever giving in. To give in to this train of thought is to serve our children up to child rapists on a silver platter. Period. There is ONLY black and white: You are either against child rape or for it, and agreeing with this heinous action is agreeing with child rape.

    • I have additional concerns about he show and the reality behind it. If the show is canceled, it doesn’t mean the practice of these star obsessed parents and teacher won’t continue. I sat and watched the show back to back one morning waiting for the redeeming qualities of the instructor to be revealed. It never was. I couldn’t understand why these parents subjected their little girls to the non stop grueling hours of practice. The children had no time for homework, proper sleep or a balanced social life. One mother allowed her daughter to dance with an injury even though the doctor advised against it. She said sports athletes do it all the time. FYI, not at 13. My son was a key player on his football team, but when he hurt himself, his coach and I both realized it was not the superbowl and the health of a twelve year old boy was more important than a victory. The teacher tells the children to listen to her and not the mothers… and the mothers allow it!!! Bottom line is, after I watched a few episodes of the show, I was left feeling depressed and sick for these little girls. I was not entertained or amused. I felt like I had just witnessed mental abuse inflicted by an ego maniac teacher who was supported by parents with low self esteem and a perverted sense of what was good for their babies.

      • Hello, Jane! Sincerest apologies for not approving and responding sooner. Great comment! You are absolutely correct in your concerns. Perhaps if women like these mothers see so many against what they’re doing having such an impact on network programming and the trend, they might take a second look at themselves and see what we see. It might even make parents think twice who are considering doing this with their children. My greatest desire is that these parents on this program as well as the coach get a visit from child services and get put on a watch list.

  3. The question is what are we going to do about it? Getting the word out on social media is not a deterrent for these people. We need to unite and have a push that will make a difference. We need to do something to show that there are still too many good citizens that will stand against this. We have to block them. Do you have any ideas on this matter?

    • I would like to see the gay and lesbian community make more of a stance against pedophiles because they are society’s current cause right now. They are in the perfect position to stand up for children’s rights and expose what the pedophile community is doing.

There needs to be a constant reminder of what pedophiles do to children, the permanent harm they cause. Remember when shaken baby syndrome was the big thing? There were billboards all over the place and the excuse by parents that they were just tired and upset and didn’t realize they shook their baby so hard never held up in court.

We have to keep at society until they pick up the torches and pitchforks and refuse to let the pedophile propaganda bullshit slide. Raise awareness by putting the statistics out there on a daily basis. Meet their arguments with facts of what their abuse does, and don’t do it silently. Take out full page ads in glamour magazines and call that target audience out on preferring to read about materialistic desires rather than the child abuse story in the paper beside the rack they got their gossip rag from.

I have an idea for something national to raise awareness, but I haven’t found the resources I would need to accomplish it. It was, actually, my daughter’s idea and would make a huge impact on this fight from an angle no one has ever thought of. I need to draw it up and have it copyrighted in her name before I take it public, but even then, I would need financing and enough interest to see it through.

One thing to keep in mind is what is on the minds of most Americans and most of the world at any given moment, what is in style, and use that in every way possible to push this fight against pedophilia and raise awareness so that these sick bastards cannot even hope to achieve acceptance.

We don’t have to fight them. We only have to teach the truth of what they are trying to accomplish.

  4. I am with you all the way. Let’s talk about setting up a donation account for the ads and anything that will cost us money.

Also, I have been invited to the anti-human trafficking event in NYC the first part of 2012. I am on the panel as well as speaking in front of media during the Q&A. I think this ties in with our problem with the decriminalization of pedophilia and will use that opportunity to speak on the issue.

I am also going to work on uniting several of the anti-pedophile groups together so we can formulate a movement. I will keep you apprised of any and all updates on my end.

I really appreciate all you do and look forward to all the contact we have in the future.

  6. One point that seems to never be raised when frantically commenting about how “the pedophiles” may watch these shows and suddenly be more pedophile-like than they already are… perhaps the MOTHERS are the pedophiles. And your frantic comments about the mysterious “other” pedophiles are helping them to hide right out in the open.

Comment by Jeff Jeff | September 25, 2011 | Reply

    • Hi, Jeff!

You are absolutely correct in pointing out the behavior of the mothers. Women DO abuse and I fully believe what we witness on this show and “Toddlers and Tiaras” is child abuse. It’s emotional abuse, mental abuse, physical abuse, and (in promoting sexualization of their child) sexual abuse. Mothers can be pedophiles, as well. They exist, contrary to the popularity of only focusing on male abusers. One or more of these mothers, and even the dance teacher, could very well be pedophiles for all we know. They certainly do like teaching little girls to be trampy and seductive, do they not?

Therefore, speaking strictly for me since I cannot speak for others, in no way am I letting these mothers off the hook here. I simply point out the dangers these women are putting their children in because the main focus of my site is “awareness and prevention.” I have many posts for parents, teachers, and guardians to reference in their research of dangers to children.

That being said, although I take great issue with what the mothers on this show permit the horrible teacher to do to and with their daughters, I will not accuse them of going so far as to be pedophiles. Not only is that slanderous but it is an unfair assumption to make simply because they are stupid enough to allow their girls to be treated as they are. I feel they do not love their daughters the way normal women love their daughters, but again, this does not justify accusing them of sexually abusing their kids or desiring to do so.

I’m not sure where you came up with the charge I or anyone else believes this show will make a pedophile “more pedophile-like than they already are.” No intelligent person would make such a statement, and none have here. A pedophile is a pedophile. It’s like saying “making water more wet.”

I do appreciate your comment, though, and thank you for making note of the very real possibility of mothers and instructors participating in such behavior being pedophiles. It exists and it is sadly blatantly ignored.

        • I saw an ad the other day for a new episode with one of the dads. I was curious but I don’t keep up with it, so I don’t know if it aired yet. I think they made a big deal over a dad because of all negative feedback about the non-existent fathers. I’d really like to know why the dads permit this. I’ve never met a dad who would allow his daughter to be dressed as a showgirl and dance around like a hootchie. I guess they are reaping the benefits, but it’s still very odd to me.

It reminds me of stars like Michael Jackson and others that were outwardly famous and great, but that behind of this was a heap of abuse, mentally and phisically, and enormous pressure. Is this fame and constant winning worth the abuse, lack of happiness and lack of wholesomeness?

  12. I’m still grappling with the fact that this ‘Abby’ person is allowed within ten feet of a child. My daughter and I love dance, and thought this was a show about the triumphs of a group of talented kids. We managed to choke down three episodes, and that was all we could handle.

In just that short time, I saw this pathetic excuse for a ‘teacher’ call at *least* four of her students ‘stupid’. I watched her scream bloody murder at a nine year old (to the point of bringing the child to tears). I watched her accuse two little girls of being illiterate, I saw her tell a parent that her child ‘wasn’t too swift’ (because the parent had to work and couldn’t make it to a dance rehearsal) and I just saw the fight between the teacher and the minister a few weeks ago… And what in the hell is wrong with these mothers?

I’m a proud Pennsylvanian and will DEFINITELY be reporting this awful show to the Dept of Human Services. SHAME on Pittsburgh for allowing these women to blatantly abuse these children, and double shame on Lifetime for paying this ‘teacher’ cash money to let them film it. WAKE UP, America…..Since when does reality TV make child abuse ‘OK’?

    Comment by Simone | December 23, 2011 | Reply

    • Thank you for reporting her! I’m equally as shocked that promoting child abuse is okay on TV. I’ve seen it time and time again on many reality shows, and I cannot, for the life of me, comprehend why child protection agencies haven’t stepped in! There needs to be a massive campaign and a boycott of all shows that have not been paid a successful visit by some form of government child protection agency!

I am surprised, as well, that law enforcement in PA haven’t acted. I’ve lived all over America and I have never heard of LE ignoring such blatant child abuse. Something is disturbingly wrong in that state!

  13. OK, perhaps I never tried out for dancing before I was 12 and dont know how real life classes really are. And perhaps maybe I am naive to how truly screwed up this world has socially become, that it is now acceptable to have such psychosocial disorder like verbal abusive scenes involving the verbal chastising of the children and even the belittling of their parents in front of the children viewed as acceptable television entertainment. I really do love the LMN network’s shows, but this show, for me at least, has turned my stomach to a point I no longer watch any LMN channel to avoid watching or even hearing a dance moms promo. As a child I have had my share of verbal and even physical abuse done to me and have grown, learned, and have identified that it was not my fault and that living under such abuse was/is wrong. And now for me, and many others who, I am sure, have had some form of abuse in their lives, and have moved on to better situations in life, and go and watch television, tune to LMN for an inspiring true story of triumph over abusive husbands, parents, or such other, and see this dance moms show promoted in commercials by the same network that has been a favorite to most women who have themselves triumphed over similar abuses in their lives, and are shown a commercial that condones the very behavior and abuse that makes such an impacting contrast to the show or movie the viewer is watching. And that commercial is a promo for dance moms. And that is why I myself have tuned to another channel. I am not saying everyone should do the same, because I believe we each are entitled to our own tastes, but this post is simply my view on this show and of my disappointment of my once favorite network. Hopefully the children and their parents of dance moms are placed in counseling or at least given the number for the ChildLine.

There is competition , however play a fair game of it. It is ok to loose. Sounds like Abby wants her name advertised for her own attention. And if she is famous, it is because of these innocent children. She seems disconnected, and no compassion towards how these girls are feeling. Pure evil. Lord help them.

    • Hi, Sally! Thank you for your comment and for your dedication to holding anyone accountable who backs child abusers. I’ve been where you are. I find myself in that situation often, in fact. I used to like Liam Neeson, in fact, but his role as Alfred Kinsey in a movie championing the man as a pedophile lost all of that respect. It’s disturbing, as well, that Mr. Neeson is considering becoming a muslim even after finding out their marriages to little girls (or maybe because of that).

We can never allow anyone the freedom to support, champion, sympathize, or ignore child abuse and child abusers simply because they are celebrities. Celebrities are in a position to make a public stand for our children. When they choose to do the opposite or worse, participate, they need to be held accountable.

  16. So I used to watch this show and tolerate some of the stuff done while at the same time biting my lip, but after watching the newer show and seeing how they treat these girls as prize winning ponies instead of the beautiful dancers that they are. Using these girls and there talents to get the last word in and making themselves look good in such a ridiculous fued. I was a dancer from the age of 4 up until 18 and unfortunately I never had the perfect feet to be as good as those girls but my teacher would continue to praise me and show me that dance is used for fun and not to be #1 and for that I’m grateful. Now as a Mom of my own I am sick at the fact that these dance moms and abby miller who is a huge hipocrit for not having dancers legs and yet has the nerve to criticize these young girl, can bring such young girls esteem down by bashing such amazing dancing technique and continuing to brainwash them that they arn’t and probably to Ms.Miller, will never be good enough. And yeah Lifetime should be ashamed for letting this go as far as it has already gone. I will continue to take action for these beautiful dancers, and I can not stress that enough, and not only boycott the show, sign the petition and call the human service dept, but i vow to contantly send emails to Lifetime until something is done for these girls.

She told the girls another girl who chose cheerleading that that girl was worthless. I saw one of the mother’s say “bring it bitch” to another woman in front of the children. I would like to see this show cancelled. Qhat is the phone number for the authorities in PA.?

  19. If you would like to report this show and the studio, here is the website for the Pennsylvania Child Welfare:
    http://www.childwelfare.com/pennsylvania.htm

Williams, I have no clue why there hasn’t been a stronger presence by DCF in regards to this show or “Toddlers and Tiaras,” TLC’s version of toddler sexual exploitation. We MUST provide a stronger voice when contacting the PA offices. This is CLEARLY child abuse and sexual exploitation on the part of Abby Lee, and their mothers are contributing and allowing someone to abuse their children.

    • I agree, there’s one topic regarding their clothing and dancing and a whole other topic regarding the emotionally abuse those children are encouraged to deal with and by their parents( should be ashamed). Can’t even get started with there assuming dead beat dads( don’t seem to be involved with your child~ ie dead beat dad) I do agree kids need more tough love nowadays even think it’s good for them. But this is not tough love, its emotionally abuse and some will say that’s worse then physical abuse. Come on life time is that really what your about these days? I remember back when I use to DVR our shows and make a weekend out of it now I’m too pissed to even stop while channel surfing…. And a little advise Abby WLS may help you be a happier person… Think about it,

    • Lori, I have had friends who volunteered with their local law enforcement and the FBI, as well as friends in law enforcement and contacts at the FBI’s NCMEC. I have been contacted many times when certain stories need to be exposed. Many of these contacts have multiple fake accounts on hidden and public pedophile websites. They monitor threads like the ones praising “Dance Moms” and “Toddlers and Tiaras.”

These particular comments are just a snippet. There are other threads about these shows that seem at first to be like any other normal thread. They talk about the overbearing moms, the horrid dance director, what girls deserve to win, etc… On every thread, however, the discussion turns into the “sexiness” of the little girls. They praise the mothers and instructors for encouraging the sexy dancing, little outfits, and provocative posing. One comment thread erupted into extreme sexual fantasies about one routine by a little girl who briefly spread her legs while turning over on the floor of the stage. I won’t post any part of that thread, but I’m sure you can imagine.

  22. I am glad to see that so many people care about getting Dance Mom’s off the air. It’s one of those strong deeply emotional feelings of anger and disgust that makes you say to yourself that SOMETHING has to be done. I was horrified yesterday watching it when Abby said “You must not have half a brain in your head” to a child who didn’t understand a dance step. Abby also used the phrase “14 year old young adult.” I cannot believe how stupid this woman is and her warped concept of human development and idea of what’s appropriate and what’s not for this age group. Both the mother’s and Abby Lee are degrading these children who are so talented and poised by their ignorant, selfish and abusive behavior. Where is the respect and dignity these brillinat children deserve??? I just want to lock all of those trashy, selfish bitches into a room and let those children free.

    • I know phone calls have been made into her local child protective services office. Unfortunately, they are sadly undermanned and taking on an overload of smaller cases. What we as a society can to do help them is NOT support this crap. There needs to be a very serious boycott of the show and of any product or company buying ad time during the show. Letters must be written by everyone who doesn’t support this to not only Lifetime and the local law enforcement, but to the companies whose ads appear during the show, as well.

  26. Here’s the deal: If you want to get a show off the air, the production company and the network aren’t the ones to complain to. Neither cares what you want because you aren’t paying them. The prod. co. is paid by the network, and the network is paid by…the advertising sponsors.

So, if you want Lifetime to can Dance Moms, what you need to do is contact the companies that run ads during the show. Tell them how upset you are that they support Dance Moms, and make it clear that you won’t buy their products until they withdraw their advertising dollars from the show. If enough people express their displeasure, the advertisers will yank their ads, and that’s what will deliver the message to Lifetime loud and clear.

    Comment by Leslie | March 8, 2012 | Reply

  28. Continued from previous post)…This show encompasses everything that is evil surrounding children. From irresponsible, selfish parents to angry bitter egotistical wannabe adult influence. I wouldn’t be a single bit surprised if Abby Lee Miller is taking money from ‘fans’ in return for certain, specific costumes. It’s time to shut Abby Miller down. She thinks and believes she is untouchable. I think she’s about to find out that there are no special rules for her or her dance studio. It’s time for a complete and thorough investigation of Lifetime. I stopped watching Lifetime because their reality shows nauseate me. Let me guess…the producer is a man. It’s TIME…actually it’s past time.

    Comment by Leslie | March 8, 2012 | Reply

    • Agreed! And I’m certain either she or Lifetime or whomever is producing the show has received such requests for costumes and sexual routines. Most people don’t know but companies for children’s and infant products receive requests from pedophiles all the time for “cuter” kids in their commercials, sexier clothes, underwear sections in their catalogs, … There was a pedophile who contacted Pampers requesting more shots of babies with their legs open while being changed and more naked shots. Johnson and Johnson has received requests for the babies in their soap commercials to not have their genitals concealed by soap suds, and more close-ups of their naked bottoms. Society simply does not understand the magnitude of depravity with these sick bastards.

      Comment by TUECAA | March 9, 2012 | Reply

      • I concur. When a mother is faced with the fact that her behavior is so highly questionable regarding the choices surrounding the oversight and guidance involving the sexuality of her little girl, a good mother won’t chance it. A responsible, caring, child worthy mother always pulls back and away from the things that can and do encourage pedophilia. It’s as simple as that. No responsible parent would entertain the idea or illusion of pedophelia or child abuse in any way. If Dance Moms can’t, don’t, or simply won’t accept that then they don’t deserve children.

        Comment by Leslie | March 9, 2012 | Reply

        • I took a look at the Dance Mom’s page on Facebook. WOW! It’s exploding with criticism! I, also, just found out there was an episode where she had one of the girls dress in a nude outfit and do a burlesque number. You have to be kidding me!

And you know what’s more disgusting than what people saw? The fact that for months, pedophiles have been talking about (on their forums) and sending in suggestions to the show for more revealing outfits and more provocative dancing. Suddenly THIS?!?! Do you understand the implications here?? There needs to be a serious look into the producers of this show. When it looks like they are getting their cues from pedophiles, there needs to be a SERIOUS investigation! I would extend that inquiry to the moms, too, because like you said, there is no way any GOOD mother would agree to anything remotely like that.

I think we’re seeing secret abuse from home spilling out over the public airwaves.

          • That was the “fan dance”. It was disqualified although the show will never admit it. Lifetime pulled that episode from their site. I watch the show, but that was one time when I was completely disgusted that the moms did not stand up and say “not happening”. The dance moves the kids did was horrific. The same for the dance “electricity”, which was also disqualified. All are found on you tube. Jeff Collins is the man you guys want to go after. This is the last season of the show, but the damage has been done. Abbe Miller was fried from the Dance Masters group, and all the legitimate dance competitions has banned the show. This is why now all they have is “In10sity invitationals”, all faked, and they charge for anyone to go in to watch from the audience. Lifetime is paying Miller’s mortgage and electric bills. This show had potential, went to hell in a hand cart, and hopefully those kids will come from it okay. In particular I worry most for the Gisoni girls. Their “mother” is one sad woman, her older child has no clue how to lose gracefully, and now they are targeting her younger child. The other girls moms do stand between the kids and Abbe, all but two, i don’t want to name.

    • If you can stomach watching an episode, you can make a list of the companies who advertise during the show. I might DVR a few episodes so I can fast forward through the filth and just watch the commercials. Also, if you go on their website (Lifetime and TLC), there will be product endorsements. These are sponsors, as well. If I come across an existing list, I’ll post it. If anyone else does, please post here so I can add it to this posting and a new one I’ll be working on.

      Comment by TUECAA | March 9, 2012 | Reply

    • B.A., if you go to the Lifetime Network’s site, you can watch full episodes of “Dance Moms.” Within those videos are sponsor ads. It’s a start!

I just watched an episode (Ep 8 “Runaway Mom”) and these were the sponsors for that online episode:

      Speedstick
      Abilify
      Geico (twice)
      America Cotton Producers
      Tempur-Pedic
      Yoplait
      Curve

And I have to add that this episode .. She just doesn’t stop. She wants the girls to wear garters with wedding dress costumes. Everyone knows what the garter represents. She’s such a sick bitch! The dads were invited but only one showed up. Big surprise. Even bigger surprise is that she yelled at his daughter right in front of him and he did nothing. This clears up any expectation of REAL fathers being in the girls’ lives.

    • Hi, Joe!

You know, I’ve been so busy with another post I was going to make and real life mundane things that I completely missed this sudden blow up. I was wondering last night why my inbox was lit up with comments, so I checked out Search engines online to find any new news. I was disgusted but not surprised. I mean, I was waiting for this. It was going to happen, it was only a matter of time.

With each episode, you can see Abby pushing for just a little more control and a bit more sexual behavior, and you can see the moms fight it at first but then give in. I never watched a full episode until I researched for sponsors. If you look at the very first episode, yes, it will piss you off but it is worse now. It hasn’t changed. Abby has just slowly and methodically been leading the kids and the parents down this lane. She’s as good a groomer as any seasoned pedophile.

Grooming them is EXACTLY what she has been doing. I have refrained from calling her a pedophile because I can’t prove she is and because pedophilia indicates a desire to have sex with small children. However, I believe it is now quite obvious she actually likes to see little girls nude and dancing like strippers.

There are a million different routines out there for a dance instructor to create for that age group, yet she CHOOSES to dress them like sluts and have them dance for the pleasure of men. She says so as she is telling them the attitude she expects from them on stage. This is in every routine now.

One must ask oneself why Abby Miller is so hell-bent on having little girls audition for child pornographers.

And on that same note, we must ask ourselves why the producers on the show want the same.

  32. I have watched several shows just to see if this woman who calls herself a teacher can actually teach and not bully. I find she doesn’t deserve to be a teacher. I have taken a course in college where I work with children from 0 – 12 for a daily living and I love the fact that being sensitive, caring and kind teaches them so much more than bullying ever will. I was bullied when I was younger not only by children but by a figure skating teacher as well and it devastated me for a long time. I felt like I had no confidence and I had to seek others approval to be okay with myself. I don’t argue that dancing takes a lot of hard work, I took dance as a child and I had to come home, do homework, eat dinner and practice some more. I hate the fact that she bullies the children and uses fear tactics but she takes away the mothers power and tells the children not to listen to them.

This is over stepping a huge boundary and if she was teaching any child I ever have, which she never will, I would cancel my contract, say bye to her studio and report her for emotional abuse. It’s cruel the way she treats the children and the parents as well, destroying their character in front of their children. There is no reason the children deserve this.

  33. Here is a form letter I drafted for use of boycotting the advertisers of Dance Mom’s. I did not see one posted here. I am sorry if someone has already done one and I missed it. I would like to hear of any modifications anyone wants to make to it. It is just a start.

    Dear (Name of Company),

I am letting you know that I will no longer purchase any product you sell due to your company’s advertising endorsement of the show “Dance Mom’s”.

Everyday we are shown pictures on the news of children who have been abused and/or murdered across our country. Children who have been molested by predators with no regard for child innocence. This show promotes all of these heinous acts on innocent children.

I have waited for you to see America’s opposition to the repeated child abuse that happens on this show. I have waited for your company to see that we, Americans, stand against child abuse and will not tolerate any support in this deplorable act.

However, I have been sadly disappointed by your lack of solid moral code. Your decisions have resulted in my family’s decision to boycott anything your company sells.I truly hope this will help you gain clarity in your stance on child abuse in the future. I hope you will rethink your position and can gain back my business as well as others who decide you are undeserving of our hard earned money at this time. I look forward to seeing your decision on whether to continue your funding for child abuse or take a stand against it.

    Sincerely,
    Your former customer

It would also be good to write what kind of example is giving to the children who watch this show and showing the producers what morals it may be teaching our children.

It shows that Abby is deep down very WEAK and has ZERO self esteem to use the abusive NAMES she calls Chloe. What adult in their right mind would call a child viscous names like Abby does to Chloe???

The answer is that only someone evil and out of their mind – AKA Abby. The first time she did it I overlooked it. Now I see it is a pattern. Abby should be locked up and never allowed to speak to or about a child again. All the other stuff can be overlooked, but to call a child abusive names is despicable. As of now, I have NO respect for Abby!

There is nothing “loving” about what this pedo hero bitch does. If you think her behavior is justified, I’d like to suggest you get sterilized and stay far away from children. People like you and her are why I support a license to breed and/or teach children in any capacity, which would require a course in child psychology.

    Comment by robilynne | February 5, 2013 | Reply

    • As serious as you are fucking stupid. Sexualization of children is abuse. Or do you not consider pedophiles jacking off to little children being purposefully strutted out half naked doing strip-tease style dances abuse? You came here only wanting to defend the verbally abusive cow. You don’t care about these girls, otherwise, you would have read the article and understood what abuse the bitch is guilty of.

Here’s another tidbit you missed since you refuse to read anything here that may burst your bubble and make the bitch plummet from the pedestal morons like you have put her on: Pedophiles have sent her Thank You notes for how she gets the girls to dance and what she dresses them in. They have requested skimpier costumes, and “coincidence,” there comes the episode of the fan dancing. She and the mothers cater to child rapists, and jackasses like you don’t think that’s abusive.

Sometimes, I spend a few extra moments to compose a well-written rebuttal to pro-pedophilia comments like yours (and face it, you didn’t even bother to mention the sexualization issue, ergo, you see nothing wrong with it). Other times, I just get really tired of the batshit stupidity of society that has placed our children in so much danger. So really, all I have the energy for is to tell you to go fuck yourself if you can’t spend your time more creatively than to attack people defending children being set up as pedo bait.

These “mothers” on this show do nothing of the sort & they allow this piece of crap Abby Lee to mentally destroy their children & completely debilitate their self confidence. Why is this permitted to happen? Let alone ACCEPTABLE on national television! Its disgusting. & for the ignorant, idiotic ppl that Ie seen post comments out there saying ” Its just a tv show, not reality”… Take a closer look… even IF this was ALL scripted.. it wld STILL be abuse just teaching these girls that type of emotional let downs, control, name calling, & lack of respect. • AK, you might find this interesting. I recently came across a group set up on Facebook exposing some very questionable activities of Abby and people she has been seen hanging out with. The group was soon banned. Another came up but it was banned, too. From comments I read, it was Abby monitoring Facebook and reporting anytime these groups would open. Now, if these people were guilty of slander, Abby would have had just cause to sue them. She did not. Slander means lying about someone to the public. It makes you think and wonder why she didn’t pursue a slander suit. In such a trial, the person being accused of slander must present facts to back up their claims. A guilty person wouldn’t want those facts being part of public court transcripts. Just something to think about.

      • I agree 100% with you that breeders should prove they want the BEST LOVE for a child and be forced earn a license to have just 1 child. i am a twenty year Lifetime television watcher and have become ,sickened, angry, disgusted, and totally Disillusioned by the Depravity and Vile shit that passes for movies now a days, esp. on Lifetime. The fact that these movies are now what strongly appears to me as if these bastards are romanticizing pedophilia?? So I am very saddened by this my favorite channel above all others. I have decided to start a change.org protest/campaign against the Lifetime Network and Liz Gately. I’ve been trying to do research on Lifetime executive info. but Its hard to find exactly who is the most Effective person to protest to. Apparently Liz Gately took over from Orstif another woman and she is get this….. been responsible for ONLY REALITY TV PROGRAMMING! Such tripe freaking shit as : Laguna Beach, The Hills, Housewives, etc. I see no more messages on here about Dance Moms and I just googled this, and the SICKEST thing is Dance Moms has been RENEWED for Season 6 this Januaryan : ((((((( If anyone can PLEASE assist me with this petition I would be forever thankfull!! Our freaking Sick. Twisted, abnormal SOCIETY has to PUT A STOP TO THIS CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR. It is not ACCEPTABLE more like UNTHINKABLE to show the Majority of their vile Lifetime movies incest, rape, and ROMANTICIZING PEDOPHILIA?

  46. Is there anyone still trying to get this show off TV and Abby and the parents to stop this abusive behavior to these girls. Most of what I see here was wrote about 2011 and 2012. If there is still a petition to sign please let me know.
TLC took the whole Duggar family off TV because of behavior of the son that happened when he was a teenager. I agree he should be off the show but TLC punished his victims by taking them off air which I don’t agree. These girls were victimized twice and should not have been punished by TLC.
The mothers on Dance Moms are just as bad as Abby Lee Miller.
